Description This document describes how to recover a password on a Cisco cs500 communication server.
The Cisco cs500 does not have a console port so to recover a password you must erase the configuration then configure the server again.
Step-by-Step Procedure - Unplug the Cisco cs500 server.
- Press and hold the DEFAULT button on the front of the chassis.
- Turn on the server.
The OK and LAN LEDs blink on and off.
- When the OK and LAN LEDs blink off (after about 15 seconds), release the DEFAULT button.
The 500-CS enters setup mode in about two to ten minutes.
- Configure the server.
